Assessing your credits


Assessment: "The collection of information about the nature and extent of learning outcomes/any procedure used to estimate learners learning." The term is derived from the Latin (assidere meaning "to sit beside").

World University has a student orientated assessment system for past education/work and life experience evaluations as we want to ensure that you, the student, and your current or future employer are confident that our conferring the degree you have chosen is based on our confidence you have the knowledge, experience and skills required for such a degree.

The term 'advanced standing' is used to describe the various methods through which a student or potential student can gain credit towards their study. Advanced standing is an assessment process that recognises the skills and knowledge you have achieved, whether that be through study or life/work experience, by matching it with what would be covered in specific units within a degree program.

Our assessment system includes:
Measurement: Representation of assessment information by a number or grade on a scale of some kind. Answers the question: How much?

Evaluation: The making of judgments about the value of a grade and/or the nature and extent of learning outcomes. Answers the question: How well?

Authentic assessment: Assessment tasks which test whether a learner is able to demonstrate their learning outcomes in a situation which is as close as possible to a real world context.

An effective assessment task is one which assesses students' attainment of the learning outcomes.

The information and materials you import or upload after enrolling will determine the time it will take to complete your degree. The time,work load and cost is confidential information between World University and you the student
